Student Programs

Acacia College offers a broad range of enriching student programs.

We believe that creative expression is at the heart of what makes us human. We therefore seek to inspire our students to explore their creativity through language, art, music and drama, both within the curriculum and through a range of other activities.

Some students have special talents which we acknowledge by providing opportunities to showcase their work. At the same time, we focus on the enjoyment and personal satisfaction that comes from being creative at any level.

Music groups and drama productions are some of the many avenues for students with a variety of skills and abilities to participate, gain confidence and experience the joy of creative expression. Acacia College has a committed choir (AC Vocal), a College Band and an active Drama Club.

Other student groups include a Chess Club which participates in inter-school competitions and a Social Justice Group.

Building teamwork and co-operation amongst our students is a high priority at Acacia College. House-based activities, such as our Swimming Carnival, Tabloid Sports event and Performing Arts Festival, are a vital part of our overall programs as they encourage co-operative efforts across the year levels and help to develop a sense of connectedness amongst students of all ages.
