Buildings and FacilitiesThe buildings and play areas at Acacia College are brand new, offering students a fresh and stimulating environment equipped with excellent facilities throughout.The Junior School building was opened at the commencement of Term 2 2010 and work is well underway for our Middle School building which will open in time for the commencement of 2012. Inside the classroom, the latest Apple technologies are being utilised to enhance the learning environment for students and provide staff with powerful new tools for curriculum delivery. The College has a substantial number of iPads in use throughout the school, and iPod Touches are also being used across all levels from Prep to Year 7. Acacia College is being built with excellent ‘green credentials’. All water other than for drinking is harvested on site. All buildings will be fitted with solar panels and are being installed with geothermal heating and cooling units, enabling the College to reduce running costs for temperature control by an estimated 85%. |
