Heidi Tringas
Title	Prep-Year 8 Librarian, Year 8 Homegroup Teacher
Biography	Heidi is a primary teacher having specialist Librarianship training with her most recent experience being at Billanook College, a Uniting Church school with a similar nurturing ethos to Acacia College. She has extensive experience in a broad range of educational settings from kindergarten through to TAFE and is thrilled to be the Librarian at Acacia College. Heidi has always been stimulated by the challenge of helping people find information. She particularly enjoys the challenge of matching people to the books or digital resources that will keep them coming back for more. She believes an ideal school library combines her two passions: recreational reading materials of various styles and genres, as well as access to up-to-date printed, on-line and electronic formats of information. Heidi is delighted to have the opportunity to create such a library from its inception and is keen to tailor it to the particular needs and interests of the Acacia College community. She is also inspired by the challenge of exploring and implementing new information technologies as they become available. Heidi believes our library will certainly be “fresh, unique and surprising” and she is very excited by contributing to the College’s journey in its foundation years.
