| Biography |
Kelly attended Deakin University where she qualified for her Bachelor of Education degree with distinction. During that time she was employed as a Nanny, looking after no less than 7 children between the ages of 1 month and 5 years of age. Kelly thoroughly enjoyed working as a Nanny which only served to strengthen her desire to work with young children and become a great teacher.
After graduating, Kelly accepted the position of Year 1 teacher at Glendal Primary School in Glen Waverley where her love for teaching quickly grew. Kelly showed obvious talent and was soon appointed to the position of Year 1 Coordinator. During this time she used every opportunity to expand her knowledge and understanding of education beyond her own class level. More recently Kelly has worked at Plenty Parklands Primary School, developing her leadership skills in a range of areas such as the National Solar School Program and the Peer Mediation Program. She previously taught Years 5 and 6 and was a member of the School Council. She has missed working with children in the early years of schooling and is excited about returning to teach grades 1&2.
Kelly’s enthusiasm for teaching, and for life in general is infectious and she is looking forward with great anticipation to working with students, parents and staff in the exciting foundation years of Acacia College’s growth and development.
