Title
Teacher - Prep
Biography Nikki Potesta graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Education specialising in Early Childhood and Primary learning. In 2001 she accepted her first teaching position in the culturally diverse area of Broadmeadows.

Over a 4 year period Nikki taught Prep to Year 2 before moving to Plenty Parklands Primary School in 2005. Following her time in Prep, Nikki took the leap to Year 6 and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to engage with middle years' students.

During her time at Plenty Parklands, Nikki has coordinated the Peer Mediation program and the Year 6 Canberra Tour.  She is an accomplished teacher who is highly regarded by teachers and parents.  Nikki has a particular skill in developing positive, trusting relationships with her students and their families and has a deep understanding of the Early Years.  Nikki is also skilled with the implementation of learning technologies within the curriculum and is passionate about embedding technology into her programs.

When Nikki is not at work you will find her riding her beloved horses, gardening or walking her dogs. She is a dedicated equestrian who spends most weekends competing in dressage competitions or training with her coach.

Nikki loves teaching and providing her students with the opportunity to learn, grow and reach their full potential. She is very excited about her role with Prep at Acacia College and is looking forward to assisting our youngest students and their families at such an important time in their growth and development.
