Sadriani Kerta
Title	Teacher - Prep-Year 7 LOTE Indonesian
Biography	Sadriani is Balinese-born, having lived her childhood years in West Timor and then Bali. Her family later moved to Australia where she undertook the majority of her formal education. Her husband is also in the teaching profession and she adores her two beautiful children. Sadriani has extensive qualifications from a range of universities including the Northern Territory, Satya Wacana, Monash and Melbourne Universities. She has taught Indonesian across the spectrum of learning, from Prep to Year 12 as well as to adults in both government and independent sectors. She also has skills in Computer Technology and Business Management. Her experience in significant leadership roles in education is also extensive, having been most recently Head of the LOTE faculty at Billanook College. She has a fine record of curriculum development having been employed by the DEECD in the writing of Work Samples for the DigiLearn web site and had a similar role in developing Indonesian Annotated Work Samples for the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. She has also published extensively herself through the company Thompson and Learning, as well as the Victorian Department of Education. Her passion for LOTE and Indonesian in particular, is obvious and she has developed many intercultural experiences across nations to support her work with children. Sadriani believes she has been very fortunate to have been raised in a bilingual environment, maintaining her spoken Balinese while developing her English, Indonesian and French language skills. She looks forward very much to encouraging the students of Acacia College with the excitement of learning a second language.
