Malcolm Finger
Title	Business Manager
Biography	Malcolm joined the College very early in its development as Business Manager in January 2008. Having 20 years of extensive experience in the Public Accounting industry, commencing as a trainee accountant and progressing to a Senior Business Manager’s position, Malcolm is well placed to guide the College through the financial challenges of starting a new school. Malcolm is a qualified CPA having completed a Bachelor of Business with Monash University. His varied experience in the Public Accounting industry has provided him with the ability to negotiate strong commercial relationships with a broad range of corporate partners while maintaining a firm eye on expenditure. A major part of his early work was preparing comprehensive business plans for a range of scenarios in order to secure the financial viability and future of the College. Malcolm is a long-term local resident in the City of Whittlesea and has appreciated the opportunity to become part of the exciting Acacia College project in his own community. He has been involved with the project since inception in 2006 in his capacity as voluntary Treasurer and active supporter of Acacia College. Malcolm is a family man with a very supportive wife and two delightful daughters who are foundation students of Acacia College. The financial management of a new school is a significant responsibility that Malcolm has embraced enthusiastically. He is a member of the Association of School Bursars and Administrators (ASBA) network and has developed strong links with colleagues within the independent schools sector, taking advantage of opportunities for sharing information on current financial management issues through regular regional meetings, web programs and professional development workshops. Malcolm feels privileged to be part of the Acacia team now transforming the vision into an exciting reality.
